Two weeks on and we were still bereft! Plenty of feeding and tlc but no eggs. Took the advice of my friend Mr Dey and gave them the “chicken chasseur” talk and made it known I’d be “wringing the changes”. What do you know, when we got in after lunch that golden moment, our first chucky egg!! Mrs S so eggstatic she’s had to have a lie down. Now I’m just thumbing through Mrs Beeton’s as to what to do with it!
