There has been a debate floating around for some days now about the move Innocent have made by launching their own little packs of vegetables. Some say its a wise move, some say they are trying too hard and are going too far away from where they first started – they are after all one of those brands that are sooo painstakingly simple they dominate, a couple more examples are google & apple (just give us what we want please – brilliant.)
My argument would be, how do you percieve Innocent? Do you see them as “Innocent Smoothies” or just a fruit juice company called “Innocent?”
I see them as the brand INNOCENT, I think of them as a lifestyle brand, I drink Innocent to be healthy and may I take this opportunity to say I drink Innocent because it is bloody gorgeous! Strawberries and Bananas, yes please. I believe and hang on every word Innocent say, if they said Macdonalds was healthy and really good for you I would go and eat more of it, so saying that if they release a new chain of products, in this case a line of vegetable and fruit packs then I would most likely pick a pack up if I see them in the supermarket.
No matter the price.
Just because Innocent is on the packet. Just because Innocent have put their name down on something, I trust it. It’s called good branding.
The moral of the story is, Innocent have because they can. They have developed a solid fanbase of which these people (including me) will follow wherever they go.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whether other people agree or not, what do you think of Innocents move into the solid food market?
