Now, heres something for you to ponder over, while your munching on your prawn sandwich, is there any such thing as a bad advertisement?
Do you want my opinion? No, well maybe, depends what sort of brain you have inherited.
You may get Amazing adverts, Stupid Adverts, Boring Adverts, What The Chipmunks was all that about Adverts.. etc, etc, but at the end of the day, they have done their job, they have made you react!
The whole purpose of creating an advert is to make the consumer react, whether that be in good manner or bad. They then pass this information on virally to their peers,
“Have you seen that new Cadburys Ad, with the eyebrows and the squeaky girl, Quality maaate!”
“Man, have you seen that new Burger King ad, the one with the dudes in the garage chanting ‘give us the hunger’ what is all that about? Terrible”
Hmmm, Angus Burger.
But yeah, the only bad advertising is the ones that are really so boring or stupid you turn it over and completely forget about it, as a creative though our heads are like sponges, we notice the tiny bits of uselessness and pass comment – so to us the advertising has done the job, but not everyone possesses the gift of creative understanding, do they?
