I think the guys at the office may be getting bored of me referring to quote after quote, these last couple of weeks, from the late great Paul Arden’s books.
The guy was a creative genius – and when reading the books I hung on every word!
I recommend them to everyone:
– What ever you think, think the opposite.
– It’s not how good you are, it’s how good you want to be.
– God explained in a taxi ride.
I enjoyed them so much, I keep reading them over and over, I think it’s because I can relate to them so much being a fellow creative.
Here is a cool excerpt from What ever you think … :
“The best piece of advice ever given was by the art director of Harper’s Bazaar, Alexey Brodovitch, to the young Richard Avedon, destined to become one of the world’s great photographers. The advice is simple:
Bear these words in mind, and whatever you do will be creative.”
