A chicken keeper’s life is full and busy, no better demonstrated today than offering sanctuary to these three fledglings who have joined the brood. No one’s sure what make they are as yet but Mick Kane (my name is Michael Kane), the wild bird man of Laneham has miraculously cultured them in an incubator from a few stray eggs he found laying around.
They caused a stir amongst the residents and have certainly added a bit of colour. Had us “run ragged” this afternoon but hey, this is the life of a chicken keeper – No one said t’would be easy!!
It’s eggs all the way from now on!!
